▪ Recruited to become CTO of MediaMap, a Warburg Pincus Equity Partners backed media research tool provider, in connection with acquisition of Firewater.com. ▪ As CTO, migrated MediaMap systems to a Siebel-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution to support next generation capabilities; led negotiation with Siebel’s executive management team, including founder Tom Siebel, which resulted in a radical new licensing model that Siebel now offers to other potential clients. ▪ Led the design of a patent-pending data filtering process to determine who or what processes would be interested in receiving streaming data based on subject matter or other relevant information.

▪ Responsible for all aspects of Firewater.com’s business including financial, sales and marketing, client relationships, legal, high-level project management and personnel. ▪ Developed PageBlazer™, which received InfoWorld’s top-rating for Web development environments in July of 1996. PageBlazer offered a complete Internet Development Environment (IDE) with built-in debugging and performance measuring tools; it also supported full object inheritance and the ability to cache information at multiple levels. It is still is use by clients throughout the world. ▪ PageBlazer served as the platform for the InterestNetwork, an innovative method of information sharing for which Mr. Kittelsen was named a Smithsonian Laureate for his contribution to society. At its peak, the InterestNetwork had over 100,000 active users.

▪ Managed multi-million dollar projects and served as chief architect on numerous new technology initiatives, presented frequently at industry conferences, worked closely with top executives from key AMS clients and managed large teams of people. ▪ Led the design and development of ObjectCORE™, AMS’s reusable object-oriented architecture in C++ and Smalltalk. This infrastructure software generalized essential services for major applications such as: security, database access, validation, workflow, and GUI control. Primary clients included BellSouth, Cellnet (UK Wireless provider), HBOC and Columbia University. ▪ Director of Object Technology for AMS’ Center for Advanced Technology. He also served on ParcPlace’s Corporate Advisory Board for two years. ▪ Expert in the design and deployment of distributed Internet systems ▪ Extensive experience with large databases and high-volume situations including a real-time rating and pricing system for a UK-based wireless carrier. ▪ In the early 90’s worked with IBM on the development of the first distributed document imaging system that integrated workstations (PS/2s) with IBM mainframe hardware (390 series); he was responsible for all client relationships and projects on the West Coast. ▪ Managed major implementation projects for the Bureau of Land Management and the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
